Focal reducer, corrector

In the reducer and corrector category, optical accessories are offered that significantly improve the imaging performance of a given telescope – especially during astrophotography. The coma corrector is primarily recommended for Newtonian telescopes, as it effectively reduces coma aberration at the edges of the field of view. The field flattener is designed for refractors and corrects field curvature. In both cases, a sharp image can be achieved across the entire sensor area, which is particularly important for astro cameras with larger sensor sizes.

The focal reducer not only corrects imaging errors but also reduces the focal length of the telescope. This results in a brighter system, shorter exposure times, and a wider field of view – making it an ideal solution for photographing deep-sky objects.
