Sky-Watcher apochromatic telescopes are highly popular among astrophotographers. However, their optics are not particularly fast, which presents several disadvantages in astrophotography.
Increase the efficiency of your telescope!
The Sky-Watcher 0.85x focal reducer/corrector increases the efficiency of your telescope: by reducing the focal length, the required exposure times can be reduced by one-third, while the imaged field of view is also significantly increased. A further advantage is that optical aberrations at the edge of the field of view are also reduced.
As the characteristics of the image plane in apochromatic telescopes depend significantly on the aperture and focal ratio of the optics, different reducers are required for different models. Attaching a camera requires the use of an M48 adapter ring. The required back focus is 55 mm.
The product is compatible with the manufacturer's earlier ED and newer EDX 120/900 apochromatic telescopes.
