2. Purchase Process
1. Registration by the Buyer is not required to place an order.
2. By clicking the "Add to Cart" button, the product can be placed in the cart, from where it can be removed or the quantity can be modified if necessary. By clicking the "Proceed to Checkout" button, the data required to complete the order must be provided.
3. On the personal data page, provide contact details (name, phone number, email address), billing information, and indicate whether the order is placed as a private individual or a legal entity. For orders as a legal entity, providing a tax number is mandatory. After filling in the fields, click the "Next" button.
4. On the shipping data page, select the country of delivery and the shipping method. In some cases, certain options may not be selectable due to size, weight, or value restrictions. Click the "Next" button.
5. On the payment data page, select the payment method and provide any comments for the store. By clicking the "Order" button, the order is finalized and the general terms and conditions are accepted.
6. An electronic confirmation will be sent to the provided email address. If the email is not received, please check the spam folder to ensure it has not been filtered there. If the order confirmation email does not arrive within 48 hours, the Buyer is released from the obligation to make an offer, i.e., is not required to purchase the ordered product.
The accuracy of the data provided during the purchase is the responsibility of the buyer, as invoicing and delivery will be based on this information.
2.1. Conclusion of the Sales Contract
Upon receipt of the product ordered in the webshop, a sales contract is concluded between the Parties, governed by Hungarian law. Orders are automatically stored electronically by the Seller; the concluded contract is not recorded in any other way. The Parties accept that the contract concluded in this manner is considered to be in writing and is governed by the laws applicable in Hungary. The language of the contract is Hungarian. An invoice is issued for every purchase, which constitutes the contract between the Parties and guarantees the Buyer's rights.
The prices indicated on the website are gross consumer prices including 21.27% VAT (27% VAT on the net amount). For certain products (books), the VAT content is 5%. The prices shown on the website refer to 1 piece unless otherwise stated. The prices indicated next to the product do not constitute a direct price offer. The Seller cannot be obliged to sell the product at erroneous prices resulting from typographical errors (e.g., 1 HUF, 0 HUF), but will offer delivery at the correct price, in which case the Buyer may withdraw from the purchase without any obligation.
3. Shipping and Payment Terms
3.1. Shipping Options
The following shipping methods are available for order fulfillment in the webshop:
- Home delivery by courier service: Depending on workload, delivery is carried out by GLS or ExpressOne courier service. As the courier delivers during business hours, please provide an address where you or a family member can be reached during this period. Since the courier service operates independently according to its own schedule, we have no influence on the exact time of day the package is delivered. (At most, we may have some influence on the day of delivery.) The Seller does not undertake to call the recipient by phone to arrange a delivery time in advance. If you wish to change the delivery time or location, this can be done directly with the courier company based on the information received from them.
- Pickup at GLS Parcel Point: collection at a parcel locker or parcel point provided by GLS Hungary Kft.
- Pickup at Packeta Parcel Point: collection at a parcel locker (Z-Box) or parcel point provided by Foxpost Zrt. For delivery to a Z-Box parcel locker, cash on delivery can only be paid via the mobile application.
- Home delivery by MPL: In accordance with legal requirements, delivery by MPL is also available. Due to logistics, the expected delivery time may be 1-2 weeks, and cash on delivery is not possible.
3.2. Delivery Time
Products in stock are handed over by the Seller to the delivery service within 1-3 business days. If the product is not in stock, the Seller will arrange procurement and inform the Buyer of the expected delivery time. The Buyer may withdraw from the purchase at any time during procurement, and any advance payment will be refunded by the Seller within 14 days of notification at the latest. The Buyer accepts that in such cases, the Seller is not obliged to provide compensation, indemnification, or any other damages beyond the refund of the purchase price.
Due to rapid changes in inventory, it may occur that some products are listed as "in stock" even though they are not actually available. The Seller assumes no responsibility for such errors and will inform the buyer upon discovery. If the product is not in stock, the delivery time indicated on the website assumes that the product is available from the supplier.
3.3. Shipping Costs
Products are delivered under different conditions based on their weight and size. The exact shipping fee is always clearly indicated on the checkout page before finalizing the order. The Buyer will not incur any additional, previously unannounced costs beyond the product price and calculated shipping fee at the time of placing the order.
3.4. Payment Methods
- Cash: cash or bank card payment (Visa/Mastercard/Maestro) when collecting in person at the Seller's specialist store
- Online bank card payment: online payment via the website of K&H Bank Zrt. or Barion Zrt.
- Cash on delivery: payment upon receipt of the order. When using any coupon, the cash on delivery option is not available.
- Bank transfer: the order amount can be paid by bank transfer to our bank account.
When choosing cash on delivery, a cash on delivery handling fee is charged, and this payment method is only available for delivery to certain countries (Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic).
3.5. Online Payment by Bank Card
Orders placed in our webshop can be paid online by bank card, with the following card acceptance partners:
- K&H Pénzforgalmi Kft (1095 Budapest, Lechner Ödön fasor 9.)
- Barion Payment Zrt (1117 Budapest, Irinyi József utca 4-20. 2nd floor)
During payment, the Seller does not receive any information about the Buyer's bank card number or other data; only the amount to be paid is forwarded to our card acceptance partners, and no other personal data is shared. The accepted bank cards are: MasterCard, Maestro, MasterCard Electronic, VISA, VISA Electron.
Payment process:
The online purchase process is described in detail in point 2; below are specific details regarding online bank card payment. When selecting payment methods, choose "Online bank card payment", then after confirming the order, click the "Pay by bank card" button. After being redirected to our card acceptance partner's secure payment page, enter your bank card details. The service provider will verify the data and notify our webshop of the result, and your browser will be redirected back to our webshop.
After a successful transaction, the card acceptance service provider will begin charging the account linked to the bank card for the order amount. In case of an unsuccessful transaction (e.g., incorrect card number, expiration date, or security code, or insufficient funds), or if the "Cancel" button is pressed during payment, you will also be redirected back to our website. In both cases, you will receive an email from our webshop about the transaction result, including the transaction ID identifying the card payment. The transaction is considered unsuccessful if the browser is closed during payment; in this case, no further email notification will be sent about the transaction result.
3.6. Payment with Online Wallet
In the webshop operated under the www.tavcso-mikroszkop.hu domain, it is possible to pay using an Online Wallet. Coupons credited to the Online Wallet can be used by the Buyer for subsequent purchases, as a discount received after the order is fulfilled. For the next purchase, the Buyer can redeem a coupon worth HUF 500 for every HUF 10,000, but only by logging in with the previous account details (email address, secret code).
ONLINE GROUP Szolgáltató Kft is entitled to restrict the use of coupons or the maximum amount of coupons that can be accumulated at any time. ONLINE GROUP Szolgáltató Kft reserves the right to reduce or terminate already accumulated coupons at any time, in which case active users will be notified in advance, with information regarding coupons collected but not yet used until the reduction or termination.
Coupons can be used at active partners until their validity expires. The current list of partners is available at https://www.onlinepenztarca.hu.
Redemption conditions:
- The coupon can be used regardless of the value limit (for orders over HUF 10,000).
- The coupon cannot be exchanged for cash.
- The coupon cannot be combined with other discounts or special prices.
- The Buyer must indicate the intention to redeem the coupon when placing the order; otherwise, the coupon cannot be accepted. (When ordering online, this option will be automatically offered by the system.)
- In case of product exchange, payment with onlineWallet can only be used for the difference.
- Payment from the onlineWallet is only possible for users with an active account in the onlineWallet.
- A maximum of HUF 10,000 can be paid from the onlineWallet.
4. Right of Withdrawal from Purchase
Every customer qualifying as a consumer* is entitled to the right of withdrawal within 14 calendar days from receipt of the product ordered online or by phone, which can be exercised without specific justification under the following conditions. Please clearly indicate the intention to withdraw in writing (by email or postal letter) within the above 14-day period, and return the product within 14 days thereafter. The right of withdrawal can also be exercised by completing and returning the form below, but its use is not mandatory. The deadline is considered met if the product is dispatched within this period. (Questions or problems regarding the product are not considered a statement of withdrawal.)
Below is a brief summary of the regulation in plain language:
- The right of withdrawal can only be exercised for products in factory condition, including all packaging and product elements. If the packaging is incomplete—meaning the product cannot be sold as original, factory condition—a depreciation fee may be charged.
- If the product suffers depreciation when exercising the right of withdrawal, this will be deducted from the refund or the product will be returned to the buyer at the buyer's expense. The amount of depreciation is determined unilaterally by our company and may be up to 99% of the product price. (In plain language: if a product is returned in its original condition, the full purchase price will be refunded. If there are signs of use—dirty, scratched, worn—this is considered depreciation.)
- The value of the goods will be refunded within 14 calendar days of notification of withdrawal to the specified bank account. If a foreign bank account is provided, the cost is borne by the Buyer.
- The refund does not cover the cost of returning the products, which must be borne by the customer. Products sent cash on delivery cannot be accepted.
*A consumer is a (natural, i.e., not legal) person who enters into a contract outside the scope of their economic or professional activity. See Civil Code 8:1. § (1) point 3.
5. Warranty and Guarantee
5.1. Warranty
For products classified as durable consumer goods, a warranty is provided under the following conditions. For customers qualifying as consumers, a 2-year warranty is provided for purchases between HUF 10,001 and HUF 250,000, and a 3-year warranty for purchases above HUF 250,000. Under the warranty, the manufacturer or distributor guarantees that the purchased product will function properly during the warranty period. The warranty can be enforced at the service center indicated on the product's warranty card or at the Seller's customer service address. To enforce the warranty, the warranty card—or, in its absence, the invoice proving the purchase—must be presented.
If repair or replacement is not possible, the purchase price of the product will be refunded—in this case, the Buyer accepts that the Seller will not provide compensation for any lost profit or inconvenience beyond the purchase price. The Seller undertakes to complete the repair within 30 days; otherwise, the buyer is entitled to a refund or product replacement.
If the Buyer reports a defect within 3 days of purchase that prevents proper use, they are entitled to a replacement instead of repair, which the Seller will provide within 8 days.
For products where prior inspection is required to clearly determine malfunction or quality complaint before replacement, the product will be accepted for inspection against a receipt and forwarded to the distributor or authorized service center. Returning the disputed product is the responsibility and cost of the buyer.
Exclusions from Warranty:
- Modification, improper handling (especially scratches or damage caused during cleaning), improper storage, inadequate transport, or force majeure
- Electronic failure due to improper power supply
- Natural wear and tear
5.2. Product Guarantee
Under product guarantee, the Seller is responsible for delivering a faultless product at the time of sale, i.e., there is no hidden defect that will only become apparent later. A product is considered defective if, at the time of purchase, it does not meet the statutory requirements; does not have the quality typical of similar products; or does not have the properties described in the manufacturer's product description.
The Buyer must enforce the guarantee claim as soon as possible after discovering the defect, but no later than two years from the date of purchase. For defects occurring within six months of purchase, the Seller must prove that the defect did not exist at the time of purchase. After six months, the Buyer must prove that the defect existed at the time of purchase.
Product guarantee applies only to consumers and to legal entities otherwise qualifying as consumers who purchase the product outside the scope of business activity.
5.3. Accessory Guarantee
Under the accessory guarantee, the Buyer may request repair or replacement of the product, unless the chosen remedy is impossible or would result in disproportionate additional costs for the Seller compared to another remedy. If repair or replacement is not requested or cannot be requested, the Buyer may request a proportionate reduction in the price or, as a last resort, withdraw from the contract.
The right to accessory guarantee applies to everyone, regardless of whether the purchase was made as a private individual or a company. Consumers are entitled to this right for 2 years, non-consumers for 1 year.
5.4. Manufacturer's Warranty (Guarantee)
If a manufacturer's warranty applies to the product purchased by the Buyer, it also extends to buyers not qualifying as consumers and can be enforced directly with the manufacturer under the conditions provided by the manufacturer.
6. Complaint Handling and Legal Remedies, Dispute Resolution
The Buyer may submit any complaints to customer service verbally or in writing. The Seller will immediately investigate and, if necessary, remedy verbal complaints. If the Buyer disagrees with the handling of the complaint, an entry may be made in the Customer Book, or a report may be requested, which must include the name, contact details, and subject of the complaint. A copy of the report must be given to the Buyer. The Seller—unless otherwise provided by law—will send a written response to the Buyer within 30 days.
If the Buyer disagrees with the complaint assessment:
- is entitled to submit a complaint to a conciliation body, in which case the Seller undertakes to cooperate with the conciliation body. The list of conciliation bodies is provided below.
- is entitled to initiate civil proceedings at the competent court.
- is entitled to submit a complaint to the consumer protection authority, which is performed by the capital and county government offices competent according to the place of residence: https://nkfh.gov.hu/hova-fordulhatok
- is entitled to submit a complaint to the European Consumer Centre, especially in the case of cross-border transactions.
The legal remedies listed do not represent an order of precedence; the Buyer may choose which legal remedy to pursue.

Product exchange can only be requested for unopened, original packaging, undamaged, and unused products, with the original invoice. The Seller will exchange the product for any other product or provide a purchase voucher. The exchange option does not apply to purchase vouchers. Returning the product to the Seller's customer service address is the responsibility and cost of the Buyer.
