There's no doubt that the SkyWatcher 130/650 Mirrored Telescope is a particularly good choice for those looking for the most affordable deep sky telescope available. The 13 cm optics are large enough and of high quality to show the brightest galaxies, star clusters and surface details of planets and the Moon. The main mirror is parabolized for better image quality.

If easy upgradability is important
The package includes 10 and 25 mm eyepieces for magnifications up to 26x and 65x. At this magnification, large, expansive star clusters can be easily observed. As the Moon and planets are quite small at 65x magnification, it is recommended to purchase additional short-focus eyepieces or 2x Barlow lenses.

The package includes a Starpointer, which makes it easy to adjust the Moon, planets and brighter stars. For those who want to dive more seriously into skygazing, we recommend the deluxe version, which includes a 6x30 finder scope instead of the Starpointer. This makes it easier to find faint deep sky objects.

EQ-2 mounts: simple but great
The telescopes are supplied with EQ-2 or NEQ-2 mounts. The EQ-2 mount is mounted on a base, while the NEQ-2 is mounted on a steel base, making it slightly more stable and less shaky. The latter has the advantage of a prismatic rail connection, which makes mounting and removing the telescope much easier and quicker. Both are equipped with a fine adjustment so that you can follow the sky with your telescope easily and smoothly by hand. The optionally available EQ-2 motor also makes this operation easier by automatically keeping the target in the field of view of your telescope. The eyepiece tray can be fitted with a variety of accessories, including a sighting tee.
