After a long hiatus, the HOLD ATLASA.
Finally available againA Moon Atlas in Hungarian!
The atlas provides all the basic information for observing the Moon, explaining libration, the lunar coordinate system, etc. It shows the Moon's surface as seen from our point of view in 8 parts (including the occasional visible rim parts due to the favourable libration!). Maps show the names of more than 800 formations, with detailed object finders. Some particularly interesting objects are discussed separately.
A special feature of the atlas is that all 8 maps are included in two orientations: one is the traditional inverted-position version (south up, west right), which is suitable for most astronomical telescopes (smooth inverted-position image as in newtonians and zenith refractors), and the other is the mirror map (south down, west right), which shows the surface in the same way as seen in zenith refractors and catadioptric telescopes (i.e., upright and side-tilted).
Experiences have shown that it is an excellent atlas not only for small, but also for medium and large telescope observers, and that it is durable and can certainly withstand heavy use (humidity) next to the telescope..
