The SkyWatcher Avant 102/1300 MC Binoculars are recommended for those who value performance, mobility and user-friendliness in a binocular. The short tube and lightweight mechanics make the instrument easy to carry. Its excellent optics give a surprisingly sharp, contrasty image, allowing you to see Jupiter's Great Red Spot or the famous Cassini's Rift in Saturn's ring. It also reveals many galaxies, but it can also be used to resolve many star clusters.
The package includes a 25 mm and a 10 mm focal length eyepiece, which provide magnifications of 52x and 130x respectively. For further magnifications, the most economical solution is to use 2x Barlow lenses. The SkyWatcher Avant 102/1300 MC telescope is equipped with a Starpointer for easy alignment of celestial objects, and can be upgraded with a finder scope for searching for deep-sky objects. A music mirror makes observing comfortable, allowing the telescope to be used as a daytime binocular as well as astronomical observation. A T2 converter allows the telescope to be fitted with an SLR (interchangeable lens) photographic camera on the T2 thread of the telescope, making it a telephoto lens with a huge magnification.
The binoculars are marketed on SkyWatcher Avant mechanics with fine adjustment on both axes, rotating 360°. It can also be moved with a manual rotation knob and flexible arms. In addition, the Avant mechanism can be easily switched from azimuthal to equatorial mode. Below the tripod head is the Star Adventurer photo tripod, which is height-adjustable from 81 cm to 156 cm, and also features a 21 cm column riser. The total setup weighs just 8.25 kg, making it a great stand-alone piece of equipment.
