The Svbony SV165 40 mm guide scope with tube rings is ideal for guiding main telescopes with focal lengths under 700 mm.
Its compact dimensions (179x114x59) and low weight (450 g) do not place unnecessary strain on the telescope mount or adversely affect the balance of the setup. Its 40 mm diameter (f/4) objective lens features high-quality, multilayered (FMC) anti-reflection coatings, allowing the use of fainter guide stars than 32 mm guide scopes. The six adjustment screws on the tube rings allow a wide range of positioning to select the appropriate area of the sky for guiding. Plastic inserts on the screws protect the telescope tube from scratches while securely maintaining the selected alignment.
The mounting foot of the tube rings fits the widely used Sky-Watcher finder shoe, but it can also be mounted via a 1/4" tripod thread. The tube has a modular four-part design, with the individual sections connected by T2 threads (M42x0.75 mm). Thanks to this design, it can also be used as a finder scope with a mirror diagonal and a suitable eyepiece.
The 1.25" focuser features a brass compression ring to protect the guide camera or eyepiece barrel from scratches. Naturally, cameras with a T2 thread can also be connected to the Svbony SV165 guide scope.
The guide scope features a helical focuser with 15 mm of travel, with a clearly visible scale to assist with focusing.
