The ZWO ASI 120 MM Mini monochrome camera is ideal primarily as a guide camera thanks to its high sensitivity and USB 2.0 connectivity. Its 1.25" format allows it to reach focus even in guide scopes where conventional cameras would not.
The 3.75 μm pixel size enables precise guiding even with shorter focal length telescopes. The 12-bit output allows 4096 intensity levels to be recorded, with a maximum 1280 × 960 pixel resolution. The camera does not include a UV/IR-cut filter, making it sensitive in this range as well. The use of a UV/IR-cut filter is highly recommended if you do not wish to capture images in this range!
The ZWO ASI 120 MM package includes a 0.5 m and a 2 m USB 2.0 cable, an ST4 cable, as well as a 1.25" extension tube and a C-mount adapter, allowing the camera to be used with C-mount threaded lenses.
The camera features a USB 2.0 connection and an ST-4 port, while weighing only 60 g despite its advanced capabilities. Its back focus is just 8.5 mm.
