The SkyWatcher Virtuoso GTi 150/750 Flex dobson telescope is an extremely portable, ultra-compact, lightweight astronomical, GOTO telescope at a far from astronomical price. The tube is collapsible, allowing the already small size to be shrunk even further. It's a real take-and-hold telescope, and its optical performance will impress the novice astronomer.
The heart of the SkyWatcher Virtuoso GTi 150/750 Flex Dobson telescope is the precision-machined 150mm paraboloid focal mirror, which is virtually identical to its EQ mechanical counterpart. With an instrument of this size, there is a lot to see in the night sky. The countless craters of the Moon, the ring of Saturn or the cloud bands of Jupiter will certainly impress the observer, as will the dozens of star clusters, nebulae and galaxies that this telescope already shows up beautifully in the dark skies of the countryside.
The mechanics can communicate with your smartphone or tablet via a built-in WiFi connection by downloading the SynScan App from Google Play or the App Store. Optionally, it is also possible to use Synscan handheld controller. With the app or the handheld controller, you can access data on up to 42,900 objects, making it possible to find many spectacular objects in a dark rural sky that only the diameter of your telescope will allow.
Although the Virtuoso Gti Minidobson should be placed on a table for convenient use, it is possible to mount it on a tripod with a 3/8-inch photo tripod thread (such as a StarAdventurer). This allows you to freely raise the complete mechanical head to a comfortable height, so that you can use your binoculars in a standing position. Since the clutch can be released along both axes, the telescope can be moved freely by hand when mounted on the mechanism. Thanks to the built-in encoders, there is no need to retrain the mechanism after manual movement.
To power the unit, you can use 8pcs AA pencil batteries in the built-in battery compartment, or optionally it can be operated from a 12V mains power supply, gel battery. A digital camera can be attached to the mechanism instead of the telescope for astro-landscape photography or time lapse videos. It also handles the timed exposure of your DSLR-MILC camera via a jack connection.
