The SkyWatcher StarQuest 102/1300 MC binoculars are for those who value performance, portability and ease of use in a binocular. The short tube and lightweight mechanics make the instrument easy to carry. Thanks to its long focus, you can achieve the same magnifications as with refractors of similar size, without all the drawbacks of a long tube.
The 102 mm diameter MC telescope is the ideal instrument for the demanding beginner. The excellent optics show the surface details of the Moon and planets with exceptional sharpness and contrast - up to 200x magnification. The famous Cassini slit in Saturn's ring and Jupiter's Red Spot are all within reach. On favourable days, you can also see the white snowcap and rusty-brown surface of Mars.
The SkyWatcher 102/1300 MC telescope comes with a 25 mm and a 10 mm barium eyepiece in addition to a zenith mirror, providing magnification of 52x and 130x respectively. A starpointer is included in the standard package to help you align the celestial bodies. And thanks to the T2 thread at the end of the telescope, you can also connect a camera.
The new StarQuest equatorial mechanism is lightweight at just 1.2 kg, yet strong enough to move telescope tubes weighing under 3 kg. Its large 122-tooth worm gear allows unobstructed fine movement through 360° on both axes. The telescopic tripod, which can be adjusted to your body height, adds significantly to its stability, as does the eyepiece holder tray, which can be used to conveniently store your sighting accessories. Although the mechanism is designed for equatorial use, it can also be used in azimuthal mode in the horizontal position if required.
