The SkyWatcher Star Discovery 150/750 Newtonian is the ideal choice if you are looking for a high-performance binocular with computer-controlled mechanics.
The 150mm diameter, precision-machined main mirror shows you plenty of detail of the beauty of the sky. Thanks to its huge field of view, more expansive deep-sky objects (star clusters, nebulae) can be comfortably observed. Using high magnification, you can also study the surface of the Moon in detail, but also see the surface details of the planets. The short tube, about 70 cm long, allows for easy portability and convenient use.
But what really sets this instrument apart from similarly sized mirror telescopes is the Star Discovery goto mechanism. With the GoTo feature, you can select any celestial object from the 42,000 objects in the database and the telescope will automatically find and track it. Both axes have encoders that allow you to move the mechanism by hand without "losing" position. You can also ask the mechanic for recommended objects for the night, making your observation even more comfortable and enjoyable. The latest version now includes a built-in WiFi adapter, so you can control the mechanic from your mobile phone or desktop computer, giving you more freedom to control your mechanic without cables and always have access to the latest app via your smartphone.
With the two eyepieces included in the basic package, you can achieve magnifications of 32x and 75x. Their special feature is the wide 62-degree field of view, which makes it especially easy to observe deep-sky objects. By purchasing additional eyepieces, the magnification range can of course be significantly increased. The binoculars are fitted with a 1.25" eyepiece eyepiece tube, and the package also includes a 6x24 viewfinder and a compass.
The binoculars can be battery powered (although this is not recommended), and also have an external power supply connection. This can be used to provide external 12V power: for those looking for a more portable solution, we recommend the simpler 12V gel battery, but with a suitable mains adapter it can also be powered from the 230V mains.
