The SkyWatcher Quattro 250 Newtonian telescopes bring astrophotography to a new level! If you're looking for a tool for photographing distant, faint deep sky objects, you won't find a better match than these astrographs.
The outstanding f4 brightness of the SkyWatcher Quattro 250 enhances its efficiency: it can work with shorter exposure times, and the field of view it offers is also enormous. It comes with a 2", precision 4-bearing, dual-speed LinearPower focusing eyepiece with a 1:11 gear ratio for precise focusing, which is stable enough for use with DSLR cameras, but also designed to be slip-free when using larger, heavier cameras. The 1:10 gear ratio makes it easier to focus accurately.
Due to the high brightness of the telescope without a coma corrector, a fairly large part of the field of view is subject to coma aberration, and the instrument is recommended primarily for photographic use with the coma corrector optimised for f4 brightness. Its 9x50 finder scope can also be used as a guide scope with a suitable adapter.

Összességében nagyon elégedett vagyok vele, a várakozásaimnak maximálisan megfelelt, még tán kicsit felül is múlta őket. Az optikai minőségre nem lehet panasz, jócskán a prémium kategóriába esik az én példányom, és úgy tudom a többi sem rosszabb. Ami probléma volt az az új kihuzat, ami tervezési hiba folytán eleinte nem volt alkalmas 2"-es eszközök fogadására, mert körülbelül 2 cm után a kihuzat csöve beszűkült. A Synta ezt a hibát garanciálisan javította, új csövet küldött, amit viszonylag könnyen cserélni lehetett, így már nincs gond vele. Kellemes meglepetés volt például, hogy a megerősített segédtükör-tartó sokkal jobban megtartja a jusztírt mint a korábbi 150/750-esem. Kitelepülős mókához kicsit kényelmetlen a mérete és a súlya miatt, de már megszoktam. A tömege sokkal inkább okoz problémát a vezetésnél. Az EQ6 éppen elbírja, de a vezetést nehéz jól beállítani, hosszútávon könnyíteni kell majd valahogy a tubuson, de az optikát mindenképpen megtartom.
