For those looking for a high-quality reflector telescope at an affordable price that is suitable for virtually any observing purpose, the SkyWatcher Explorer 150/750 PDS Newton + EQ-3 Pro GoTo telescope is an excellent choice. Its precision-crafted, diffraction-limited 150 mm parabolic primary mirror reveals a wealth of detail in the wonders of the night sky. Thanks to its wide field of view, larger deep-sky objects such as star clusters and nebulae can be observed comfortably. At high magnifications, lunar surface features can be studied in detail, while planetary surface details also become visible.
A wide range of accessories and magnifications
The included 2" 28 mm eyepiece provides a wide field of view and 27x magnification. Its 2" dual-speed Crayford focuser enables precise focusing for both visual observing and astrophotography. The package includes a 2"/1.25" adapter, allowing the use of 1.25" eyepieces or the attachment of a DSLR camera to the telescope with an optional T2 ring. The 6x30 finder scope with crosshairs makes locating objects easy and can be upgraded to a larger 9x50 model at an additional cost.
The best choice for beginner astrophotographers
Those looking for the most affordable optical tube for photographing large deep-sky objects will find no better option than the SkyWatcher Explorer 150/750 PDS. Its fast focal ratio promises quick success, while the 2" focuser accepts an optional coma corrector for pinpoint stars right to the corners of the field.
The SynScan hand controller offers numerous additional functions beyond computerized object positioning (GoTo control), making it useful for both visual observers and astrophotographers. Among other features, backlash compensation can be set to reduce the mount's response time, and data for 25 user-defined objects can be stored for easy recall later. The hand controller can also guide you through a tour of the most spectacular objects visible during the evening. The SynScan hand controller database contains data for more than 42,900 objects.
The eyepiece tray can hold a wide range of accessories, even your observing tea.
