The SkyWatcher EQ6-R Pro GoTo mount is recommended for users looking for a high-capacity system suitable for demanding astrophotography applications. Its payload capacity makes it suitable for Newtonian telescopes up to 25 cm, Schmidt-Cassegrain systems up to 28 cm, and refractors up to 18 cm in aperture.
The 5 cm diameter steel tripod legs and the substantial mount head provide excellent stability. The robust axes feature ball bearings and tapered roller bearings, while precision is further enhanced by the integrated toothed belt drive. Thanks to these features, the mount has low backlash and periodic error, both of which can be further reduced through autoguiding via the integrated ST-4 port during astrophotography. Astrophotographers will appreciate the extremely fine correction rates, down to 0.25x sidereal rate, as well as the trainable Periodic Error Correction (PEC) function.
Up to four counterweights can be mounted on the counterweight shaft of the SkyWatcher EQ6-R Pro GoTo mount. For easier transport, the counterweight shaft can be retracted into the mount head. The standard package includes two 5 kg counterweights.
The supplied polar scope features a precession-corrected reticle.
The SynScan (v5) hand controller of the SkyWatcher EQ6-R Pro GoTo mount features a menu system available in 12 languages, including Hungarian.
