If you want to operate your mount or motor drive from a 230V mains supply, you will need a power adapter, which is not included as standard with most telescopes or mounts. In most cases, the 2A version is sufficient to power the motors, but if the mount is heavily loaded or you want to operate multiple devices, the 5A version is recommended.
