High performance at a budget-friendly price. The SkyWatcher Classic 150/1200 Dobson is a great value for money, but also a very good optical astronomical telescope. An excellent choice for visual observers who prefer optical performance, simplicity and ease of use to high-tech solutions.

For those looking for a mirror binocular that is particularly useful for planetary observation, SkyWatcher's 150/1200 Classic Dobson telescope is a first-rate choice. Their precision-machined (diffraction-limited) parabolic reflector reveals much of the beauty of the sky. The long focus and small central aperture ensure above-average sharpness and contrast. High magnifications allow detailed study of the Moon's surface formations, but also reveal surface details of the planets. Of course, the 15 cm optics also show fine detail in many deep sky objects.

The 2" focuser allows fine focusing and the possibility of very large fields of view, which is particularly useful for observing large deep sky objects. The 25 mm and 10 mm barium eyepieces included in the basic package provide magnification up to 48x and 120x respectively. The fiber-optic6x30 Spring-Load finder scope makes it easy to locate objects.
