The SkyWatcher AZ-Go2 130/650 Newtonian telescope allows you to observe numerous spectacular celestial objects from the very first use. Its 130 mm primary mirror provides sufficient light-gathering power to observe the brightest galaxies and star clusters, as well as the planets and surface features of the Moon.
The AZ-Go2 mount features GoTo control: thanks to its Wi-Fi connection, it can be easily controlled from a smartphone or tablet using the free SynScan app. Its user-friendly operation is appreciated not only by beginner amateur astronomers. Simply select the object you wish to observe from its catalogue, and the telescope will automatically locate it in the sky. The mount not only automatically slews to the selected object but can also track it, making observation even more convenient. The telescope can also be used with the SkySafari planetarium software, which includes an updateable asteroid and comet database, among other features.
The standard package includes 25 mm and 10 mm eyepieces, providing 26x and 65x magnification. A red-dot finder (StarPointer) makes locating celestial objects easier.
The single-arm mount provides adequate stability, while the extendable steel legs can be adjusted to suit your height. The eyepiece tray can hold a range of accessories—even your observing tea.
The SkyWatcher AZ-Go2 130/650 Newtonian telescope can also be powered by AA batteries, although this is not recommended. It is recommended to use it with a 12 V battery or a suitable mains adapter connected to a 230 V power supply; these are available separately.
