Why is the Scopium XSP-151T-LED biological microscope so popular among our customers? It offers reliable optical and mechanical quality at an affordable price and can be expanded with numerous accessories. The instrument is constructed almost entirely from metal and glass components.
Excellent optics
The microscope features 4x, 10x, 40x and 100x achromatic semi-plan objectives, delivering sharp, detailed images across almost the entire field of view. Thanks to their DIN-standard mounting, they can be easily replaced with objectives of different magnifications. The spring-loaded design of the 40x and 100x objectives helps protect both the slide and the objective from accidental impacts and breakage. The 100x objective is oil immersion, therefore immersion oil is required for use.
The Scopium XSP-151T-LED microscope comes with a WF10x wide-field eyepiece, providing 40x, 100x, 400x and 1000x magnification. Additional magnification ranges can be achieved by using other eyepieces. The 45° inclined, 360° rotatable binocular viewing head ensures comfortable observation from any direction. The tube on top of the viewing head is suitable for attaching cameras with a 23.2 mm diameter.
Modern LED illumination
Transmitted illumination of specimens is provided by a 1 W variable-brightness LED light, which is superior to conventional halogen versions in every respect. Its light has a slightly bluish tint and is more uniform. It generates less heat and consumes less energy. The N.A.=1.25 Abbe condenser assists in setting optimal illumination, while the iris diaphragm enables even more precise control (see Köhler illumination).
Precision mechanics
The Scopium XSP-151T-LED biological microscope features coaxial coarse and fine focus controls. With 0.01 mm increments on the graduated fine focus control, focus can be adjusted quickly and precisely. The mechanical stage allows fine movement in two directions with 0.1 mm accuracy. This enables precise specimen positioning without manually moving the slide, while preventing accidental movement of the microscope.
The basic package also includes yellow, green and blue filters, as well as a durable dust cover to protect the instrument when not in use.
