The Optolong L-Synergy & L-Extreme Dual Combo Set includes two premium narrowband filters: the L-eXtreme and L-Synergy. Designed specifically for astrophotographers using colour cameras, this set makes it possible to create impressive Hubble Palette-style images without a monochrome camera or an expensive three-filter SHO set – more easily and at a more affordable price. The filters are available in a 2" format, making them suitable for use with full-frame sensor cameras without any issues.
The L-eXtreme is a dual-band narrowband filter with a 7 nm bandwidth, transmitting the OIII and H-alpha emission lines. The L-Synergy is also a 7 nm dual-band filter, operating in the OIII and SII ranges. During post-processing, these bands can be separated using software, providing the H-alpha, S-II and OIII colour channels that form the basis of the popular Hubble Palette images.
The filters feature coatings produced using IAD (Ion Assisted Deposition) technology, resulting in a more uniform, durable and corrosion-resistant surface compared to conventional vacuum deposition. The high-quality anti-reflective coatings minimise unwanted reflections, contributing to clean, high-contrast imaging.
