With the Kowa Prominar TSN-66A Spotting Scope (45°), there is no need to compromise on image quality. The TSN-66 models gather 44% more light than the TSN-55 models, allowing them to be used longer in deteriorating light conditions. The compact size and manageable weight (1.5 kg) meet the excellent image quality characteristic of the Prominar family.
The spotting scopes with a 66 mm front lens allow easy observation of distant targets and the study of finer details even in gloomy lighting conditions. They are an ideal choice for birdwatchers, rangers, hunters, sports shooters, or any discerning nature enthusiast. With optional accessories, they can also be used for nature photography, and with the appropriate adapter, they can accommodate 1.25" astronomical eyepieces.
Every lens element of the spotting scope is multi-coated, and the prism has received a special coating, resulting in an image that is even more contrast-rich, exceptionally beautiful, and bright, with subtle shade differences being more recognizable. The spotting scope containing an XD lens (fluorite crystal) offers virtually color error-free (chromatic aberration-free) imaging. Its dual-speed focuser allows for very precise focusing.
The nitrogen gas filling protects the telescope from internal fogging even with rapidly changing temperatures, and it could even be submerged in water for a few seconds, as its sealing prevents water ingress. The Kowa Prominar TSN-66A Spotting Scope (45°) is completed with the included 25-60x zoom eyepiece. Thanks to the 17 mm eye relief, the eyepiece can be comfortably used even with glasses.
The high magnification of the spotting scopes necessitates the use of a tripod (it is recommended to acquire one), for which the spotting scope base has two 3/8" standard tripod threads for attachment, along with two 3/8"-1/4" adapters.
