With the Kowa Prominar TSN-66A spotting scope (45° angled), there is no need to compromise on image quality. TSN-66 models gather 44% more light than TSN-55 models, allowing them to be used for longer in deteriorating light conditions. Its compact dimensions and manageable weight (1.5 kg) are combined with the outstanding image quality characteristic of the Prominar range.
Spotting scopes with a 66 mm objective lens make it easy to observe distant targets and study even the finest details in overcast conditions. An ideal choice for birdwatchers, gamekeepers, hunters, target shooters, and any discerning outdoor enthusiast. With optional accessories, it can also be used for nature photography, and with the appropriate adapter, it accepts 1.25" astronomical eyepieces.
Every lens element in the spotting scope features multilayered coatings, while the prism also has a special coating. This results in an even more contrast-rich, exceptionally beautiful and bright image, with subtle differences in shades more easily distinguishable. Featuring an XD lens (fluorite crystal), this spotting scope delivers virtually colour-free imaging, free from chromatic aberration. Its dual-speed focusing system enables highly precise focusing.
Nitrogen gas filling protects the spotting scope from internal fogging, even during rapid temperature changes. It could even be submerged in water for a few seconds without water entering the housing thanks to its sealed construction. The Kowa Prominar TSN-66A spotting scope (45° angled) is supplied with a 25–60x zoom eyepiece. With 17 mm of eye relief, the eyepiece can also be used comfortably while wearing glasses.
The high magnification of spotting scopes requires the use of a photographic tripod, which is also recommended for this model. The base of the spotting scope features two standard 3/8" tripod mounting threads, along with two 3/8"–1/4" adapters.
