Cayer FP1480S2 tripod

The Cayer FP1480S2 photo tripod is the perfect choice for a more portable photo/video tripod that can also hold a medium sized (60mm diameter optics) scope, dual-mount telescope, night vision, thermal imaging camera or other standard tripod mount equipment without vibration at high magnification.

With stability and low weight being the main considerations for this tripod, they have omitted the centre column from the model, with the maximum height available being only 1274 mm. Of course, this is plenty for those of average height for 45° spectral use, but if we had to look up with our instrument, we could only do so comfortably in a sitting position. In return, however, we can take it with us on really long, strenuous hikes.

A wide range of variability makes it suitable for a wide variety of uses. It is ideal for carrying and moving spectra, video cameras, medium-large binoculars, night vision, thermal imaging cameras, up to a weight limit of 4 kg

The video head can move up and down within a wide range to view really high up sights and interesting things low down. Thanks to the fluid damping, you can also safely shoot high magnification nature photography or shake-free video recording.

The length and tilt of the hand-held moving arm on the head can be conveniently adjusted to suit your needs. By rotating the head 360°, it can capture a full panorama without obstruction. When shooting stills or video, a special advantage is the nut (1/4") photo tripod thread on the side of the head, which can be used to attach various tools, video lights, flashes to the tripod. The replaceable holder on the head is used to mount our main tools. The 1/4" tripod socket is practical, quick to put on and take off and is equipped with an anti-fall mechanism.

One of the sturdy tripod legs is rubber-coated (something only someone who has carried cold metal in sub-0°C temperatures can really appreciate). The four-section legs tilt in three positions one by one, so they provide stable support even in extreme terrain, such as hillsides. The height of the photo tripod, when in use, can be adjusted from 11.5 cm to 127.4 cm, if you need a tripod that can be extended higher than this, we recommend the heavier Cayer FP2450H6 photo tripod.

The Cayer FP1480S2 tripod comes with a heavy-duty, sturdy, padded carrying case. Weighing just 1.4kg, the tripod can be carried around for a long time without discomfort.
