The Bresser LCD Microscope 5 MP is a remarkable digital tool for observing the micro-world.
Instead of an eyepiece, you can observe its image on an 88 mm diameter LCD display (3.5"). Its lenses provide magnification from 50x to 100x to 500x, which can be increased up to 2000x using 4x digital zoom. The device's 5-megapixel camera (interpolated) can capture images up to 3264x2448 resolution, which can be stored on an external SD/HC card (not included). But you can also capture still and moving images, which you can later copy to a computer.
The features of the Bresser LCD microscope also suggest a very usable instrument: the scope stage is equipped with a fine adjustment mechanism (unlike other similarly priced microscopes), which is almost essential for precise slide movement at high magnification. It has adjustable brightness (also not standard on other products) with bottom-to-top LED illumination, and 5 colour filters to highlight different details. Thanks to its top illumination, you can even put tiny pebbles and bugs underneath and examine them whole.
The package is completed with a preparation kit.
