ZWO Mini 30 mm Guide Scope

The ZWO mini 30 mm guide scope is compatible with all ZWO guide cameras, but can also be connected to a wide range of cameras from other manufacturers.

Focal length 120 mm, diameter 30 mm and weight only 250 g. Typically used by outdoorsy, traveling astrophotographers, it benefits from its small size and low weight.

Carriage is required for telescopes/lenses with a focal length of 300mm or more. Without it, the proportion of images taken and used decreases radically as the focus increases, with many unusable shots.

The small scope's aluminum housing provides a threaded helical focus adjustment. Its back-focus is variable from 0-20 mm. Its 1.25" eyepiece mount features a clamping ring solution that protects the camera tube from being pinched and also reduces the chance of the screw being pushed off the optical axis. But not only does it have a 1.25" connection, it also has a standard T2 (M42 x 0.75 mm) thread, making it compatible with almost any camera.

The 30 mm guide scope's tube ring can be easily attached to the slippers of SkyWatcher finder scope telescopes, for example, and in addition there is a 1/4" photo tripod thread in the bottom of the foot.

Tip:Mounting a ball head on the main telescope's main tube ring's main mount thread and the guide scope on the ball head gives you more freedom to choose your guide star.

The high quality F4 120mm focal length optic has a green FMC reflective coating that not only protects against internal reflections but also maximises light utilisation.
