The ZWO ASI 533 MM-PRO monochrome cooled cameras are optimized for high-quality planetary imaging and deep-sky photography. The camerais one of SONY's most responsive, with its powerful 9 megapixel 3008 x 3008 resolution sensor and 14-bit output, as well as its particularly high frame rate (20 frames per second at full resolution, approx. 54 frames per second at FullHD resolution). The pixel size of 3.76 microns makes it optimal for short-focus, high brightness instruments. Its high light utilisation of over 80% is due to its back-illuminated sensor.
The small pixel size guarantees the capture of fine details, and the 14-bit ADC output makes it possible to capture images with a much higher dynamic range than most cameras with 8-bit, i.e. "only" 256 colour channels per colour channel. The large, square format sensor is also useful for capturing sun and moon shots, but also gives you more freedom than a rectangular shape when composing depth-of-field shots. What's more, the sensor's aspect ratio means that smaller diameter filters may suffice, no need to think in terms of 2" filters, as the sensor's aperture is only 16 mm.
The ZWO ASI 533 MM-PRO monochrome cooled cameras feature a powerful Peltier cooler that reduces the camera temperature by 35°C compared to ambient temperatures, so you can capture even the finest details of galaxies. The camera has a T2 thread, but can be inserted into any 1.25" or 2" mount using the adapters included in the package. The camera is cooled by a 12V supply, for which the manufacturer recommends a minimum 3A-.
The ZWO ASI 533 MM-Pro monochrome camera has a 256 MB DDR3 memory buffer, which increases the stability of data transfer between the camera and the PC. An important feature is that it minimizes (almost completely eliminates) the so-called "amp-glow" phenomenon, which occurs mainly during slow USB 2.0 data traffic.
The ZWO ASI 533 MM-PRO monochrome cooled camera has 2 USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 ports

For image capture, there are several free software downloads available on the internet, we particularly recommend SharpCap and FireCapture.
