The ToupCam CM 12 megapixel microscope camera is a compact, colour-viewing camera that can be used with most standard microscopes: it simply slips on the eyepiece. With a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, it can capture very fine details.
The ToupCam EP 8.3 megapixel microscope camera, which replaces earlier models, has a new SONY sensor with higher efficiency data compression and faster 5-8 megapixel 30 fps, 12 megapixel 20 fps (frames per second), giving a more continuous video view, as well as a live image.
The camera's ToupView software is highly sophisticated, with many features including the ability to perform measurement functions, which, once calibrated, can determine the dimensions of objects under the microscope.
The camera has a c-mount connection and can be fitted to both biological and stereo microscopes using the appropriate adapters.
Opionally, it is highly recommended to purchase the 0.5x reducer lens, which allows an even larger field of view.
In addition to Windows 7/8/10, Max OS X and Linux are supported.
