Due to their small sensors, microscope cameras often provide a smaller field of view than the image seen through the eyepiece. Using the ToupTek 0.5x reducer lens significantly increases the available field of view, although image resolution is reduced as a trade-off.
The reducer lens features a C-mount thread for connecting cameras and fits into the microscope via a 23.2 mm diameter barrel. With a suitable adapter, it can also be used in 30 or 30.5 mm eyepiece focusers.
It can also be fitted in front of ToupCam cameras with a 23.2 mm barrel, but this requires the appropriate C-mount adapter (#02235).
