The Skywatcher Virtuoso 90/1250 Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope is a very compact, easily portable, yet very beautiful imaging instrument, and you can choose between SynScan handheld or WiFi, which allows you to select any of the 42 900 objects programmed into the instrument, even from your mobile phone.
The Virtuoso is actually a mini Dobson mechanic with built-in high-resolution encoders and synchronous motor. At the start of the observation, the telescope is pointed north and then pointed at the North Star. The clockwork function can then be used. But the mechanics don't stop there: using a wifi adapter and mobile phone software, you can also take spectacular panoramic photos and time-lapse shots. It can also be powered by a 12V DC power adapter (optional) or by 8 pencil batteries. The Dobson mechanic has a 3/8" tripod mount at the bottom of the mechanic, which allows the SkyWatcher Star Adventurer to be placed on tripods for more comfortable viewing.
The 90mm Makasutov-Cassegrain optical tube has surprisingly good imaging. Thanks to its long focus of 1250 mm, it can easily achieve magnifications of up to 200x (with optional eyepieces). At this magnification, you can study in detail the surface details of the Moon or Saturn with its magnificent ring. The short tube of less than 30 cm and lightweight mechanics make the instrument easily portable, so you can take it almost anywhere.
The Virtuoso 90MC comes with 25 and 10 mm Barium eyepieces for 50x and 125x magnification, respectively, and a Starpointer for easy alignment of celestial objects. And thanks to the T2 thread at the end, you can attach a camera.
The Wifi module allows control with an Android or iOs mobile phone, while the SynScan handheld controller allows you to control the telescope on its own without a mobile phone. Both solutions allow you to place the telescope on any object in the device's catalogue after a short training session.
