The 102 mm diameter MC telescope is the ideal instrument for the demanding beginner. The excellent optics show the surface details of the Moon and planets with exceptional sharpness and contrast - optionally allowing magnification up to 200x. The famous Cassini slit in Saturn's ring and Jupiter's Red Spot are all within reach. On favourable days, you can also see the white snowcap and rusty-brown surface of Mars.
The SkyWatcher 102/1300 MC telescope comes with a 20 mm and a 10 mm photo eyepiece in addition to a zenith mirror, providing 65x and 130x magnification, respectively. A starpointer is included in the standard package to make it easy to align the celestial bodies. And thanks to the T2 thread at the end of the telescope, you can also connect a camera.
The SkyWatcher StarQuest-2 mechanism is an improved, enhanced version of the earlier StarQuest. The mechanics head has been replaced by sturdier steel tripods instead of lower legs and the RA axis pulley has been enlarged, making it more robust. Like its predecessor, the StarQuest-2 has a Vixen-rail connection, so the telescope tube can be quickly removed and replaced with a single hand screw.
