Using the Star Discovery GoTo app on your mobile phone via WiFi, you can select and locate any of the more than 42,000 objects in its catalogue with just a few taps. Encoders on both axes allow the mount to be moved manually without losing its alignment. Thanks to the built-in WiFi module, the mount can be controlled from a mobile phone or desktop computer, providing greater freedom of operation without cables.
The standard package includes 25 mm and 10 mm eyepieces, providing magnifications of 60x and 150x. The included 2x Barlow lens also provides 90x, 120x, 225x and 300x magnifications. A 6x30 finder scope makes locating celestial objects easier, while a mirror diagonal ensures comfortable viewing. As the telescope produces an upright image, although laterally reversed, it is also suitable for terrestrial observation.
The single-arm Star Discovery mount provides outstanding stability and features motorised control, enabling it to track the sky. Since it is equipped with a dovetail clamp, it can also be moved manually. The mount is particularly suitable for taking daytime panoramic images and videos, as it can control the camera at pre-set positions, provided that the camera has a 2.5 mm jack socket. The accessory tray can hold numerous accessories, even your observing tea. The extendable steel tripod can be adjusted to suit your height.
The telescope can be powered by a 12 V battery or from a 230 V mains supply using an optional AC adapter. For battery operation, a power cable with terminal connectors must be purchased separately.
