The Star Adventurer Gtimechanism is a compact, portable goto mechanic for smaller scopes. It is also an excellent choice for mobile astrophotographers.
With both axes motorized and controllable via WiFi connection, the Star Adventurer Gti mechanic meets the needs of owners of small telescopes (up to 5kg load capacity) for equatorial GoTo mechanics. All you need is a smartphone, but of course it can also be operated with an optional SynScan handheld controller. What's more, the ST-4's autoguider port makes guided astrophotography easily achievable with a mechanism that, because of its compact size and low weight, is really not a hassle to carry, even on long trips abroad. When shooting astrophotography, accurate polar alignment is aided by the illuminated crosshair polariscope included with the product.
The mechanical head is easy to use and can be easily armed for astronomical photography and time-lapse video, with an ST-4 autoguider port, USB connection and an app-programmable exposure control output on the head. The Star Adventurer Gti mechanics can be powered optionally from an external 12 V power supply or from the built-in 8-slot AA battery compartment.
The Star Adventurer GTI mechanic can be purchased as a separate head and can be mounted on any tripod with a sufficiently strong 3/8-inch connection, including the manufacturer's Star Adventurer tripod. It can also be purchased complete with a steel leg NEQ-2 mechanic. In either case, the package includes a 20 mm diameter counterweight shaft and counterweight. The counterweight shaftalso has two mounting locations on the mechanics head, so the counterweight will not interfere with the legs when set at a lower angle.
The Star Adventurert GTI mechanics can be connected to the SkyWatcher EQ-Mod cable (RJ45) for equatorial mechanics.

Csak 2 alkalommal volt lehetőségem kipróbálni a vásárlás óta, az időjárás nem volt kegyes hozzám. Abszolút kezdőként nem okozott nehézséget a beállítása. 70-200-as obival használtam 200mm-en, a 60sec-os záridő sem okozott problémát. Betanítás után könnyedén, és pontosan ráál az objektumokra, így nem megy el az idő azok keresgélésével. Fotóállványon használtam, de egy erősebb kivitelt igényel, de természetesen ez nem a mechanika hibálya. Az anyaghasználatot átlagosnak mondanám, egyedül a pólustávcső védőkupakjának a rögzítése kritikán aluli. A 8db AA elemeket hamar lemeríti, érdemes megvenni hozzá a hálózati adaptert, vagy akkumulátorról üzemeltetni.

SkyWatcher Star Adventurer Gti mount head
Advantage: Kompakt
Disadvantage: A deklinációs tengely kioldója nehézkesen oldható, a műanyag részek gagyik.
Ellensúllyal nem annyira könnyű. Pontos pólussal nem tudtam még kipróbálni, kvázi irányba áll a goto-ja. Követése hibátlan, még hosszú fókusznál is jó. A pólustávcső védőkupakja már a kicsomagoláskor leesett. Kiderült, hogy igazából nem is tud a helyén maradni, nincs igazán megoldva, hogy kapaszkodjon. Úgyhogy ez barkácsolást igényelt, de szebb lett egy kozmetikai flakon kupakjával, mint az eredeti kupak. Az elemtartó fedelének eltávolításakor látszik, hogy képtelenség visszailleszteni a műanyag fedélt, amúgy egy kis csavar tartja, ami valószínűleg kiszakad a fedélből többszöri használat során. Ha ez megtörténik a továbbiakban az elemtartó nem fog funkcionálni. A Synscan program nagyon rendben van, csak leírás nincs hozzá, de sok próbálkozás során meg- illetve kitalálhatók a rejtettebb funkciók. Ár/érték, kínai arányban kvázi rendben van.

SkyWatcher Star Adventurer Gti mount head
Advantage: Szuper kis mechanika
Disadvantage: Nincs ilyen
Egyesíti magában a star adventurer precizitását, és az AZGTI goto funkcióját. Kis súlyú csövekhez ideális, főleg ha a rendszert cipelészni kell. Egy öt kilós távcsővel az egész állvány súlya nincs 14 kilogram, tehát az egész rendszer felkapható, és levihető a kertbe, majd fotózás után vissza. Persze egy EQ6R biztosan stabilabb, de a súlya miatt kétszer meggondolja az ember, hogy tényleg akar-e fotózni, föleg ha csak egy kis APO is elég a fotózáshoz.
