Introducing the SkyWatcher SkyMax 150/1800 MC + NEQ-5 Pro Goto:Those looking for a large, but easily portable and very high quality binocular have come to the right place. The 150 mm diameter Makasutov-Cassegrain optics of the SkyWatcher SkyMax 150/1800 MC telescope provide a surprisingly sharp, contrasty image, allowing you to spot Jupiter's Great Red Spot or the famous Cassini's Rift in Saturn's ring. It also reveals many galaxies, but it can also be used to resolve many star clusters.
The telescope is equipped with a 2" eyepiece, which provides a larger field of view than is usual for a Makasutov-Cassegrain telescope. The standard package includes a 2" zenith mirror and a 2" 28 mm eyepiece, which gives a magnification of 64x. However, with additional eyepieces, magnification of up to 300x is possible. A 9x50 finder scope makes it easy to align celestial objects.
The Synscan handheld has a number of additional features beyond the computerized object pointing (Goto control), which can be useful for both visual and photographic observers. Among other things, dead time compensation can be set to reduce the response time of the mechanics; 25 custom object data can be stored for easy resetting later. It is also possible to set the most spectacular objects of the evening one after the other within a tour. The Synscan handheld controller database stores data on more than 42 900 objects.
