The SkyWatcher Heritage 76/300 Mini-Dobson is a really small, inexpensive, compact entry-level Newtonian that is especially recommended for kids to learn about astronomy, but it's also a great idea for adults to use at a summer barbecue.
All astronomical binoculars show more of the starry sky than is available to the naked eye, and that's true of this small to medium magnification newton telescope. With the included 25 mm barium eyepiece you can explore the wonders of the heavens at 12x magnification, and with the 10 mm barium eyepiece you can see the wonders of the heavens at 30x magnification. At this magnification, you can see the tiny disk of Jupiter with the four largest moons discovered by Galileo, and even the ring of Saturn. With the purchase of an additional 2x Barlow lens, the magnification of the telescope can be increased to 60x, which is not really worth increasing beyond this.
The advantage of the classic Dobson tripod is not only portability, but also high stability. Unlike beginner scopes mounted on simpler equatorial tripods, the image is shake-free, requiring only a stable table to use. Its light weight makes it easy for smaller children to move the telescope around, unlike large telescopes, even without disassembly. Another advantage is that it takes up very little space, even fitting on a bookshelf.
So the advantage is that it fits in a small space, so you can take it anywhere, use it easily and see much more than you ever could with the naked eye.
