Dobson telescopes are a symbol of simplicity and powerful performance. SkyWatcher Flex's huge 30 cm optics collect more than twice as much light as the popular 20 cm models. This makes it possible to break up star clusters into tiny stars, and the spiral arms of many galaxies are easy to spot. Many interstellar clouds of gas and dust look almost as they do in photographs. Precision-machined (premium quality), low thermal expansion (Pyrex) material on the main mirror is supported by a 9-point support for greater mechanical stability.
The unique folding design of the telescopes guarantees unrivalled space-saving during transport. Special mention should be made of the fact that it can be folded to its transport size without disassembly.
The Teflon pads of Dobson's hinge ensure a precise gliding bearing, while the adjustable brake system keeps the telescope balanced at all times.
Precise 2" Crayford focuser allows for a huge field of view reach, also equipped with a 1.25" adapter. The telescope comes richly equipped: standard 25 and 10 mm eyepieces provide 60x and 150x magnification, and a 9x50 viewfinder is also standard.
