Motor drives enhance the convenience of observing, as following accurate polar alignment, they allow the telescope to automatically track the selected object. For astrophotography, a mount equipped with dual-axis motor drives is simply essential.
In addition to tracking the stars (operating as a clock drive), the stepper motors can also make corrective adjustments on the appropriate axis. Naturally, the single-axis drive only allows 2x and 4x movement on the RA axis.

Note! Please keep in mind when purchasing that the single-axis version cannot be expanded with an additional motor, and the dual-axis version cannot be upgraded with GoTo control either.
