High performance at a budget-friendly price. Skywatcher classic dobsonics are excellent value for money, but also optically very high quality astronomical telescopes. They are an excellent choice for visual observers who prefer optical performance, simplicity and ease of use over high-tech solutions.
Huge 30 cm optics collect more than twice as much light as popular 20 cm models. The precision-machined (diffraction-limited) parabolicmirror is made of a low-thermal-expansion glass material similar to Pyrex. A telescope of this size reveals a wealth of details of the beauty of the sky, allowing you to observe thousands of deep sky objects. Clusters of stars can be broken down into tiny stars, and the spiral arms of several galaxies are easy to identify. Many interstellar clouds of gas and dust look almost as they do in photographs. Thanks to its excellent optics, the Moon and planetary surfaces can be studied in detail. The precision 2" Crayford focuser allows very fine focusing and the possibility of achieving large fields of view, which is particularly useful for observing large deep sky objects.
The 25 mm and 10 mm barium eyepieces included in the basic package provide magnification up to 60x and 150x, respectively. The fiber-optic 9x50 spring-loaded finder scope makes it easy to locate objects.
