The small size and light weight of the SkyWatcher 70/700 Lens Binoculars make them easy to take with you on family outings.
Away from cities, it's a great deep-sky telescope for dark skies: its huge field of view can include a multitude of sparkling open clusters or vast, mysterious interstellar nebulae. With its 700 mm focal length, the telescope offers more planetary observation than its 500 mm counterpart.
The basic mount's zenith mirror is upright, but the image is reversed from right to left. The 70mm objective lens has a reflection-reducing coating that improves the sharpness and contrast of the image it produces. The package includes 25 mm and 10 mm Super Barium eyepieces, which give 28x and 70x magnification, respectively. When used as a spotting scope, we recommend 8-24 mm zoom eyepieces covering a magnification range of 29.2x-87.5x. For even higher magnifications, a simple 2x barlow lens is also included.
The AZ-2 mechanics are simple to use, ideal for nature observation. A variety of accessories can be attached to the eyepiece tray, even your observing scope. And the extendable aluminium foot can be adjusted to your height.
