The small size and light weight of the SkyWatcher 70/500 Telescope make them easy to take with you on family outings.
Away from cities, it's a great deep-sky telescope for dark skies: its huge field of view can include a multitude of sparkling open clusters or vast, mysterious interstellar nebulae. But the telescope doesn't let you get bored during the day either: it can be used as a good spotting scope for observing the surrounding landscape.
The base mount zenith mirror is upright, but gives a right-left reversed image. The package includes 25 mm and 10 mm Super Bárium eyepieces, which give magnifications of 20x and 50x. When used as a spotting scope, we recommend 8-24 mm zoom eyepieces covering the magnification range 21x-62x. To achieve even higher magnifications, a simple 2x Barlow lens is also included.
The AZ-2 mount is easy to use, ideal for nature observation. A variety of accessories can be attached to the eyepiece tray, including our sighting kit. And the extendable aluminium foot can be adjusted to your height.
