With its 102 mm aperture, this refractor telescope is an ideal instrument for discerning beginners. Its excellent optics deliver sharp, high-contrast images, allowing you to observe Jupiter’s Great Red Spot or the famous Cassini Division in Saturn’s rings. Under favourable conditions, Mars’s white polar cap and rusty-brown surface features can also be seen.
Comprehensive standard equipment
The supplied 25 mm and 10 mm Super Barium eyepieces provide 40x and 100x magnification respectively, while a 2" mirror diagonal ensures comfortable viewing. The included 6x30 finder scope with an inverted image makes it easier to locate celestial objects.
Stable mount
The EQ-3 equatorial mount provides stable support, while its slow-motion control axes allow precise tracking of celestial objects. We recommend upgrading the EQ-3 mount with a motor drive, which significantly enhances observing comfort. The mount’s extendable aluminium tripod legs can be adjusted to suit the observer’s height, while the eyepiece tray offers space for several accessories—even our observing tea.
