The Opticron Oregon WA 10x50 Binoculars are a classic porro prism binocular, a reliable companion for any nature lover who uses binoculars for recreation or work and wants a versatile instrument at a reasonable price.
Thanks to its 10x magnification, the image seen shows more detail than in smaller magnification binoculars. Its 50 millimetre front lens gives a very bright image in low light conditions, thanks not only to the high light gathering power of the glass lenses but also to the multi-layer anti-reflection coating on all lens surfaces, and even the prism system of the Opticron Oregon WA 10x50 finder telescope has an anti-reflection coating that further increases the light gathering power of the telescope. Despite its low price, its prisms are made from the more popular BAK4 - also used in more expensive binoculars - rather than the inferior BK7 used in other similarly priced models.
With the diopter mismatch many of us experience between two eyes, all binoculars today are expected to have the ability to correct for this mismatch, which in the case of the Optricon Oregon WA 10x50 finder scope we have a 3.5 diopter margin to do.
The excellent mechanical design of the telescope is not only beautiful, but its ergonomic design makes it comfortable and stable to hold, but if you do want to mount it on a tripod, you only need an L- adapter, because the finder scope has a mount point to accept it. Weighing 885 grams, it's easy to take with you into the great outdoors.
A wide neck strap and carrying bag are included in the package.
