In the world of conventional binoculars, models without image stabilizers above 10x magnification are increasingly difficult to hold without hand tremors. In the Opticron Imagic IS binoculars, thanks to its 12x magnification, the image seen is richer in detail than the 10x model, but remains steady thanks to its two-axis stabilizer system. The binocular's 2.9m close-up focus makes it possible to observe the small wonders of nature without disturbing their behaviour by being too close, allowing you to study the behaviour of insects, snakes, lizards and birds for longer.
The small size of the telescope is due to the prismatic design of its roof edge. Its length of just 15 cm makes it practical to carry and it weighs just over half a kilo (535 g). Its thirty millimetre front lens provides a clear image in daylight conditions, thanks not only to the high light gathering power of the glass lenses but also to the multi-layer anti-reflective coating on all lens surfaces and the Oazis Prism coating developed by the manufacturer to ensure optimal light utilisation.
With many of us experiencing a dioptric difference between two eyes, it is now expected of all binoculars to have the ability to correct for this difference, for which we have a 4 diopter margin in the case of binoculars.
