The designers of the Olight Javelot Mini Rechargeable Flashlight have created a lamp that is dominated by simplicity.
There are two modes of operation, a low and a high brightness mode. These can be toggled by a switch at the end of the lamp: pressing it lightly gives low brightness, pressing it harder gives high brightness. Interestingly, the spot light cone of the lamp covers a very small area, which is somewhat offset by the larger size of the diffused light cone.
In the higher-power mode, it can illuminate up to 1,000 lumens at a distance of 600 meters in total darkness, and at 200 lumens it can reach 267 meters for up to 297minutes.
Within the lamp, the included 18650 battery can also be charged via the magnetic battery-locking plug combined with a switch at the end of the lamp. The battery is special: the negative terminal is also led out on the positive side. The accessory MCC-1 magnetic charging platform has a built-in green-red LED light to indicate charging status. When in use, the light shines to indicate the charge status. The included MCC-1 magnetic charging platform is not much larger than a coin. "
The aluminum-alloy lamp body has grooves for a non-slip, strong grip, even in muddy-wet environments. You can see that the thickness of this lamp is sized for a stable grip, not the battery used. The thickened battery cover specifically prevents the lamp from slipping out of your hand. As the battery cover is highly magnetic, the lamp can also be fixed to steel surfaces, even upside down. The lamp does not come with a belt clip, but with a strong plastic carrying case, which is designed to replace the belt clip.
The Olight Javelot Mini Rechargeable Flashlight has a shock resistance of 5 meters and IPX8 water resistance. It comes with a5-year manufacturer's warranty.
