The handy, convenient flashlight is surprisingly powerful, with a maximum brightness of 1500 lumens that can illuminate up to 175 meters for 2 minutesand a reduced output of 600 lumens for an additional 177 minutes to protect against overheating. When charged, it will illuminate a range of 110 meters at this very high 600 lumen output. Further grades are 120 lumens for 17 hours at 50 meters, 15 lumens for 100 hours at 20 meters, and 0.5 lumens for 120 days of power and runtime.The included MCC-1 magnetic charging platform is not much larger than a coin. "The strobe function, useful for self-defence, is also included in the flashlight features of this device. A special feature of the advanced electronics is that if the sensor built into the flashlight detects an obstruction, it automatically reduces the light of the device.

The Olight Baton 3 ORI is powered by an included 18650 rechargeable battery, which can be charged inside the device using the coin-sized magnetic platform.
