All lens elements and the prism of the spotting scope are multi-coated, resulting in images that are more contrast-rich, exceptionally beautiful, and bright, with subtle shade differences being more easily recognizable. The spotting scope, containing an XD lens (fluorite crystal), offers virtually color error-free (chromatic aberration-free) imaging. Its dual-speed focusing mechanism allows for very precise focusing.
The Kowa Prominar TSN 88A spotting scope is filled with nitrogen gas to prevent internal fogging, even with rapidly changing temperatures, and can be submerged in water for a few seconds.
