With the Kowa Prominar TSN-66S spotting scope (straight), there is no need to compromise on image quality. TSN-66 models collect 44% more light than TSN-55 models, allowing them to be used for longer in deteriorating light conditions. Its compact dimensions and manageable weight (1.52 kg) are combined with the outstanding image quality characteristic of the Prominar range.
With its 66 mm objective lens, this spotting scope makes it easy to observe distant targets and examine fine details even in overcast conditions. It is an ideal choice for birdwatchers, gamekeepers, hunters, sport shooters, and any demanding nature enthusiast. Optional accessories make it suitable for nature photography, and with the appropriate adapter, it can also accept 1.25" astronomical eyepieces.
Every lens element in the spotting scope features multilayered coatings, while the prism also has a special coating, resulting in an even more contrast-rich, exceptionally beautiful and bright image, with subtle differences in shade more easily distinguishable. The spotting scope features an XD lens (fluorite crystal), delivering virtually colour-error-free (chromatic-aberration-free) images. Its dual-speed focusing system enables highly precise focusing.
Nitrogen gas filling protects the spotting scope against internal fogging even during rapid temperature changes. It could even be submerged in water for a few seconds, as its sealed construction would prevent water ingress. The Kowa Prominar TSN-66S spotting scope (45°) is completed by the included 25-60x zoom eyepiece. Thanks to its 17 mm eye relief, the eyepiece can also be used comfortably while wearing glasses.
The high magnification of spotting scopes requires the use of a photographic tripod (it is recommended to purchase one as well). The foot of the spotting scope features two standard 3/8" tripod mounting threads for attachment, along with two 3/8"-1/4" adapters.
