The Kowa Prominar TSN-55A Spotting Scope (45°) is the champion of quality and portability. Its compact size and low weight meet the excellent image quality characteristic of the Prominar family.
With spotting scopes featuring a 55 mm front lens, distant targets can be easily observed under average lighting conditions, allowing for the discernment of finer details. It is an ideal choice for birdwatchers, rangers, hunters, sport shooters, or any discerning nature enthusiast, especially when portability is a key consideration.
Every lens element of the spotting scope is multi-coated, and the prism has a special coating, resulting in an image that is even more contrast-rich, exceptionally beautiful, and bright, with subtle color differences being more recognizable. The spotting scope containing an XD lens (fluorite crystal) offers nearly color error-free (chromatic aberration-free) imaging. Its dual-speed focus allows for very precise focusing.
The nitrogen gas filling protects the scope from internal fogging even with rapidly changing temperatures. It could even be submerged in water for a few seconds, as its sealing prevents water ingress. The Kowa Prominar TSN-55A Spotting Scope (45°) is completed with a built-in 17-40x zoom eyepiece. Thanks to the 17 mm eye relief, the eyepiece is comfortable to use even with glasses.
The high magnification of spotting scopes necessitates the use of a tripod (it is recommended to acquire one), for which a 1/4" standard tripod thread is found on the base of the scope for attachment.
