This digital microscope with a 7-inch display provides convenient digital image viewing for low- to medium-magnification observations in applications similar to those of stereo microscopes. It is well suited to a wide range of uses, especially where it is important for several people to view the specimen at the same time.
Variable magnification
The microscope magnification can be adjusted easily by raising or lowering the built-in camera. This allows objects of various sizes to be examined. It is ideal for quality control tasks, such as detecting hidden faults on electronic circuit boards, coin restoration, insect identification, and hobby applications including model making. For biological samples, it is primarily recommended for examining larger specimens visible to the naked eye, such as plant parts and insects.
In live view mode, the microscope's integrated screen provides magnification from 10x to 60x. For examining details in photographs, the 12-megapixel images allow magnification of up to 160x at print size (300 DPI).
Full HD LCD display
The 17.8 cm diagonal display is similar in size to that of a small tablet and can be tilted from a vertical position to an almost horizontal angle. A separately purchased microSD card is required for recording photos or videos in addition to live viewing. The device supports several video resolutions, up to Full HD quality (1920 × 1080 pixels), in AVI format. Still images can be saved in JPG format at resolutions between 2 and 16 megapixels.
The robust metal base and adjustment mechanism securely support the digital microscope with its integrated LCD display. At higher magnifications, the included remote shutter release is particularly useful. It can be used not only to capture photos and videos, but also to navigate the logically structured menu with ease. In its highest position, the microscope head can be raised 70 mm above the base.
Adjustable LED illumination
Coin collectors will particularly appreciate that, in addition to the central illuminator with 8 LEDs, two gooseneck LED lights are also available. These allow the object to be illuminated from the side, while their brightness can be adjusted using the potentiometer integrated into the base.
For taking measurements, the package also includes a transparent, bank card-sized calibration card.
The large LCD display, as well as the central and two side lights, are powered by a built-in rechargeable battery that can be charged via USB cable.
