This digital microscope with a 7-inch display provides convenient digital viewing for low- to medium-magnification observation in applications similar to those of stereo microscopes. It is well suited to a wide range of uses, especially where it is important for several people to view the specimen at the same time.
Variable magnification
Magnification can be adjusted easily by raising or lowering the height of the built-in camera. This makes it suitable for examining objects of different sizes. It is ideal for quality control tasks, such as detecting hidden faults on electronic circuit boards, coin restoration, insect identification, and hobby use including model making. Among biological samples, it is primarily recommended for studying larger specimens visible to the naked eye, such as plant parts and insects.
Full HD LCD display
The 17.8 cm diagonal display is comparable in size to the screen of a small tablet, and its position can be tilted from vertical to nearly horizontal. If you would like to capture photos or videos in addition to viewing the live image, a separately available microSD card is required. The device supports multiple video resolutions, up to Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels), in AVI format. Still images can be saved in JPG format at resolutions between 2 and 16 megapixels.
The sturdy metal base and support mechanism hold the digital microscope with integrated LCD display securely in place. At higher magnifications, the included remote shutter release is especially useful. It can be used not only for taking photos and videos, but also for easy navigation through the logically arranged menu. At its highest position, the microscope head can be raised up to 70 mm above the base.
Adjustable LED illumination
Coin collectors will particularly appreciate that, in addition to the central 8-LED illumination unit, the microscope also features two gooseneck LED lights. These allow side illumination of the object, with brightness adjustable via the potentiometer built into the base.
For taking measurements, the package also includes a transparent, bank card-sized calibration card.
Power for the large LCD display, as well as the central and two side illumination units, is supplied by the built-in rechargeable battery, which can be charged via USB cable.
