The touchscreen menu allows settings to be adjusted easily and conveniently. Magnification and image sharpness can be changed, along with numerous other settings. Images can be captured or videos recorded effortlessly with a single touch. The world beneath the microscope can be viewed not only on its LCD display, but can also be easily displayed on a monitor or TV via its HDMI output.
Its interchangeable, DIN-standard objectives provide 4×, 10×, 40× and 60× magnification, while a 100× oil immersion objective can also be purchased separately later. Both the 40× and 60× objectives feature a spring-loaded design, protecting both the specimen and the objective from damage even in case of inexperienced handling.
With its 16-megapixel camera manufactured by SONY, the microscope can capture images at a 4608 × 3456 pixel resolution, which can be stored on a removable SD/SDHC card with a capacity of up to 32 GB. (The card is not included; use of the microscope without one is not recommended.) In addition to still images, Full HD video can also be recorded. Image and video files can be transferred to a computer using the included USB cable. Video can be recorded at 60 frames per second at 1280 × 720 pixel resolution, or at 30 frames per second at 1920 × 1080 pixel resolution, ensuring that fine details remain visible even when observing moving samples.
On the Bresser Researcher LCD microscope, precise specimen positioning is made easier by the fine-adjustment mechanical stage. The integrated measuring scale also allows the amount of movement to be read. The focusing system is optimized for high magnifications and features a two-speed design. The brightness of the LED light source can be adjusted using a potentiometer. The vertically adjustable Abbe condenser enables precise illumination adjustment. Both the aperture diaphragm diameter and focus can be adjusted. These features enable the use of Köhler illumination. The condenser is equipped with a filter holder for the included bluish-violet filter.
