The Bresser Messier AR-152S/760 refractor is an affordably priced yet optically excellent achromatic telescope recommended for observing deep-sky objects. It offers everything a demanding amateur expects from a fast refractor: its exceptionally wide field of view is ideal for studying star clusters, nebulae and comets, while also revealing fine detail on the Moon and planets.
With its 152 mm aperture, this telescope is a compact and highly portable instrument. Its collimatable lens cell also places it in a higher quality category. Thanks to its four-element optical design (including a corrective lens element located in front of the focuser), it delivers better image quality than conventional two-element models.
The telescope comes supplied with a 26 mm Super Plössl eyepiece, providing 29x magnification, which can be increased several times with an optional Barlow lens. Locating celestial objects is made easier by the 8x50 finder scope, which produces an inverted image. The included mirror diagonal provides an upright but laterally reversed image. The supplied Vixen dovetail bar allows the telescope to be mounted easily on most equatorial or alt-azimuth mounts. The tube rings feature a handle for safe handling, as well as a standard screw for attaching a camera.
A standout feature of the Bresser Messier AR-152S refractor is its 2.5" Hexafoc focuser, which enables more precise focusing than the rack-and-pinion focusers commonly used in this category. The manufacturer has also paid attention to protecting accessories by equipping the focuser with a brass compression ring. The package also includes two extension tubes, ensuring sufficient focus travel for both visual observation and photography. Also included are a 2.5"/2" adapter and a 2"/1.25" adapter with a T2 thread.
The product includes a factory-mounted solar filter film, allowing safe solar observation. The finder scope must be covered or removed when observing the Sun.
