The Bresser Messier AR-127S/635 is the ideal choice for those looking for a higher quality, but affordable acromatic lens binocular. The instrument "does" what an amateur expects from a binocular: its huge field of view makes stars pin-sharp, and the more massive galaxies and star clusters a fascinating sight.

The 127 mm diameter telescope is best recommended for small to medium magnifications. Its optical system consists of four lens elements: an additional "corrector" lens is incorporated behind the two-piece objective in front of the focusing eyepiece. Its collimating lens mount also puts the binoculars in a higher quality category.

The scope comes with a 26 mm Super Plössl eyepiece, which provides a magnification of 25x, which can be multiplied by using an optional Barlow lens. A reversed-position 8x50 finder telescope makes it easy to align celestial objects. The Zenith mirror included in the standard package is upright but gives a right-to-left inverted image. It is also suitable for nature observation, which requires the purchase of an Amici prism for a side-viewing image. The Vixen prism rail, also supplied as standard, allows the telescope to be easily mounted on most equatorial or azimuthal tripods. There is a handle on the tube ring for secure handling and a standard screw for attaching a camera.

A special feature of the Bresser Messier AR-127S refractor is the 2.5" Hexafoc focusing ring, which allows for more precise focusing than the rack-and-pinion focusing rings common in this category. The manufacturer has also paid attention to protecting the accessories, as the focusing ring is equipped with a copper clamping ring. In addition, the package includes two extension pieces for both visual and photographic focus. Also included is a 2"/1.25" adapter with T2 end.
