Astronomik Luminance UV/IR filters are designed to deliver maximum performance with all telescope types, achieving the best possible signal-to-noise ratio and the sharpest images in deep-sky astrophotography. Astronomik Luminance is an advanced UV/IR-blocking filter with a transmission curve precisely tailored to the characteristics of the optical system.
The Luminance filter is available in three versions:
- The L-1 filter offers the widest transmission range. It is recommended for optical systems that are completely free of chromatic aberration.
- The L-2 filter is a general-purpose filter recommended in most cases where a corrector or focal reducer is present in the optical path.
- The L-3 is primarily recommended for refractors with less-than-perfect colour correction. When used with Deep-Sky RGB filters, it minimises bluish halos around stars.
